actually, hon, if you're talking about when you were very young, then you are goddamned right someone should have protected you. you deserved to be protected BECAUSE you couldn't protect yourself. i'm sorry you weren't kept safe. i know how it feels.

hey, thank you back. it sucks to have one of your first, formative experiences with other human beings be one of pain and shame and confusion and betrayal. i think it's beautiful, though, that even the scarred and the damaged can sometimes fit like puzzle pieces, across all the distance. it's nice to be understood. take care of yourself please.
